The 8410 is a PCI compatible board offering single-channel digital-to-synchro/resolver conversion.
Modes of Operation:
- Position mode: Synchro position changes whenever the 14-bit synchro register is written.
- Block Update mode: Synchro positions are generated from a synchro control word. The control words provide the 14-bit start position, number of increments, increment on/off, and scan left/right data. The software inputs also set rotation speed.
- Standalone mode: Synchro positions are generated continuously using software inputs for rotation speed and direction.
Key Features:
- 14-bit Converter with an overall accuracy of ± 4 arc minutes
- Configurable 3- or 4-wire output for driving synchros or resolvers, respectively
- Optional onboard reference oscillator
- Front panel status LEDs
- 1.5 or 4.5 VA outputs
- Fault detection and isolation
Physical Description:
The 8410 board is implemented on a PCI 32-Bit standard 5V long board. Output is standard female DB-25 connector, which mates with compatible male DB-25 cable connector Amp P/N 747322-2. It utilizes 32-bit addressing and three (3) memory mapped control/status registers to configure, send data, and report status/synchro positions back to the host. Interrupts may be enabled or disabled as required.
Status LEDs:
- Ready - the 8410 board is waiting for data
- Transmit - the 8410 board is transmitting data
- External Reference - the 8410 board is using an external reference oscillator
