9110 RS-422/USB I/O PCB

The 9110 RS-422/USB I/O PCB is used to interface with an ADC, various Switch Inputs, high current Relay output, and an external Key Pad. The PCB is designed to interface with the host computer using either the Serial RS-422 I/O (-10 Option) or the USB Bus (-20 Option).

Key Features:

No need for "special" I/O chassis.
Uses Cypress Semiconductor CY7C68013A EZ-USB single-chip integrated USB Transceiver, Serial Interface Engine and Enhanced 8051 with 16KByte of RAM memory for code, data and control information.
Compliant with USB Specifications 2.0 (High Speed Device) and the RS-422 Specification.
I/O
Five Digital Switch Inputs tied high on board and grounded externally.
2 Analog to Digital Inputs with +5VDC and -5 VDC reference outputs
1 Relay with two I/O’s controlled by the CY7C68013A device capable of source/sinking 500mA @ 60VAC/DC maximum.
Support for an external 12 switch Key Pad. Circuitry provided for keypad backlighting.
The PCB is configured as a RS-422 I/O PCB (-10 Option) using an external +28VDC Power Supply or as a USB I/O PCB (-20 Option) using the USB +5VDC Power.

I / O:

12 bit analog to digital converters
2 input channels using Voltage levels generated on board of -5VDC and +5VDC.
Continually scans and converts all channels and stores results in the CY7C68013A device to be accessed by the host.
Key Pad Interface
16 pin Interface to the Key Pad.
Three outputs to the Key Pad providing the Column signals.
Four inputs from the Key Pad accepting the Row signals.
All Key Pad I/O are initiated and received using the CY7C68013A device.
Key Pad backlighting is provided on the 16 pin connector and must be provided externally.
Digital Inputs
5 Switch inputs are available and pulled high on board. The external switch is either open or grounded.
